HM Most Rev Dr Cesidio Tallini of TTF-Bucksfan, publishes The Legacy of the Knights Templar

In March 2007, President Tallini of the Fifth World Council, also know as HM Most Rev Dr Cesidio Tallini of TTF-Bucksfan, was elected to the position of Grand Preceptor of the Overseas Priorate of the Ordo Equestris Militiae Templi Deus Vult (OEMTDV). This Order keeps a humble profile, but it also works in an official capacity with the monks of the Franciscan Missionary Centre of San Salvatore al Monte in Florence, who in turn cooperate with the government of Bolivia for the salvation, integration, and social development of the indigenous communities in the Grand Chaco region, which is located within the borders of Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay, and Argentina. So the Kingdom of Redonda's Order is a micronational order, but it also has some real charity functions, and is benefiting Indians in Bolivia in a very real way.

The particular project the Templar Order is involved with is called the "Teko GuaranĂ Project", and members of the Order initiated this project with a large convention which met in the convent of San Salvatore al Monte in the Summer of 2003, as recorded in Il Notiziario, the newsletter of Italy's National Association of Sociologists (ANS).

According to Nomenclatura templare (Templar Nomenclature), the primary function of the Grand Preceptor of a Templar Order is to inform new members of the Gran Priory in the manner of rituals, rules, and behaviours.

Also, as the Grand Preceptor of the Overseas Priorate of the Order he is responsible for overseas, or out-of-Italy affairs.

Lastly, the Grand Preceptor, besides his member-creating function, is also involved in the education of members.

HM Most Rev Dr Cesidio Tallini said, of the new position “I intend to take on this official function as soon as possible, and within the limits of my free time. After creating a basic Web site for the Order on 20 March 2007, and after receiving some inspiration from HRH Giancarlo Ezio I, Sovereign of "Santa Maria la Redonda", and Chancellor of the Order, I did some research about a special theme in the history of the Knights Templar.

I can now present the extremely interesting results of my research here at the bottom with the article, "The Legacy of the Knights Templar". Hope you find the article interesting, and that it will motivate you to join the Order. “

Imperium-Parkistan Summit meeting scheduled.

-- Imperium News Service

The Lord Imperator and one other Official of the Imperial Government will meet once again with the three Leaders of the "Parkistan Provisional Leadership Council" this coming weekend; once again at their Capital City of Moscow Mills [ Missouri, USA ], as they have been unable to schedule a time of convenience for all three to accept my previous invitation to pay an Official
State Visit to the Imperium of DeWaCo Estates.

All three of the Leaders have a collective an equal stake in the negotiations between their Government of Parkistan and that of the Imperial Commonwealth; and as they were unable to come to us, we have taken the necessary steps to go to them once again.

Negotiations for the assimilation of Parkistan into the Imperial Commonwealth are the key talking points for this upcoming Summit; and all parties are well aware, that this Summit could very well be the make-it or break-it meeting between the two Governments and their respective Leaders.

While in the area of Parkistan, the Lord Imperator and His Associate will take part in a Fishing Excursion on the Mississipi River..weather permitting.

The two will depart latter on in the day, or in the early morning hours of tomorrow; with plans to return to the Imperium prior to the 4th of July, when the two will join with other Imperial Citizens and Subjects and a few of the Offically Invited Guest [ Friends ], to bear witness to the supervision and detonation of another [ I.E.D. ] 100 Mega-Stix Explosive Device.

Governor-General condemns Burma Junta - Supports ICRC

--Governor General's Press Releases

The Dominion of British West Florida joins the International Committee of the Red Cross in condemning the generals and warlords now running Burma (Myanmar).

ICRC President Jakob Kellenberger said in a rare public statement on the actions of a sovereign government. "Despite repeated entreaties by the ICRC, the authorities have consistently refused to enter into a serious discussion of these abuses with a view to putting a stop to them. The continuing deadlock... has led the ICRC to take the exceptional step of making its concerns public."

The Government of the Dominion of British West Florida calls upon the government of Burma to respect the sovereign rights of the people, restore the rule of law, and rejoin the civilized world.

The Government of the Dominion of British West Florida applauds the recent actions taken by the United States and the European Union to encourage the Military Junta in Burma to release political prisoners, allow villagers to work their fields, and cease the other abuses identified by the Red Cross.

West Indies cricket team in England 2007-1st Twenty20

From Wikinews

June 28, 2007

West Indies have beaten England by 15 runs in the first Twenty20 international of their tour of England at The Oval, London, England.

The West Indian innings started off badly by losing Gayle early, however they turned their fortunes around with some attacking and aggressive cricket and posted a huge total of 208. A bigger total could have been posted if it had not been for a late innings batting collapse. England started their reply by getting off to a flyer, but lost some early wickets that slowed down the run-rate. Leading the charge was Paul Collingwood with a fast 79 with 5 4's and 4 6's. In the end, England fell short by 15 runs. Had they not have lost the early wickets, England would have probably won the match to take a 1-0 lead in the series. Instead, it is West Indies that have taken a 1-0 lead in the series.

Toss: West Indies won, and chose to bat first.

Cricket: Bangladeshi cricket team in Sri Lanka 2007-1st Test

From Wikinews

June 28, 2007

The match started out poorly for the Bangladeshis as they were bowled out for 89 in the first innings. The main cause of this was the outstanding bowling of Muralitharan who took a five wicket haul. The Sri Lankans capitalised on this and started building a mammoth of an innings of 577 before declaring six wickets down. Centuries from Michael Vandort,Mahela Jayawardene, Prasanna Jayawardene, and Chaminda Vaas , and a huge 7th wicket partnership of 223 runs, helped Sri Lanka post the total. Bangladesh started out their second innings positively and showed resistance to Sri Lanka's bowlers to get to 233/5 at the end of day 3. Early on day 4 however, Lasith Malinga turned Sri Lanka's fortunes around and ripped through the tail end of Bangladesh's lineup with 3 wickets in 30 minutes to wrap up a one-sided Test with a comprehensive innings and 234 runs victory.

Toss: Sri Lanka won, and chose to field first.

Sydney Opera House listed on World Heritage List

The Sydney Opera House is a key feature of Sydney's skyline

The World Heritage Committee of the United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organisation has today announced in Christchurch, New Zealand that the Sydney Opera House has been added to the World Heritage List of culturally significant sites.

It is the third time that a bid has been made to include the Opera House in the list, after failing to receive enough votes in 1981 and 1996. Roni Amelan, UNESCO spokesman said the decision to list the Opera House as unanimous.

"There was consensus that it was a truly outstanding, iconic building that was a defining moment in 20 century architecture," said Mr Amelan.

The committee described the Opera House as daring and influential.

"It is a daring and visionary experiment that has had an enduring influence on the emergent architecture of the late 20th-century," claims the committee.

"The building is a great artistic monument and an icon."

The Sydney Opera House becomes the youngest building to be listed on the register, being built in October 1973. It joins other landmarks such as the Taj Mahal, Statue of Liberty and the Egyptian Pyramids. The Opera House becomes only the second Australian building on the list, joining the Melbourne Royal Exhibition Building and Carlton Gardens, which were added in 2004.

As a result of the listing, a 2.5 kilometre buffer will be enforced around the Opera House to protect views to and from the building. If the World Heritage values of the site are breached, the site can be placed on an endangered list and removed from the register.

Australian Prime Minister, John Howard said the Opera House is treasured through out the world. "The Opera House, and its setting at Bennelong Point on Sydney Harbour, is an iconic and treasured place, not just for Australians but also internationally," he said.

An excited NSW Premier, Morris Iemma informed state parliament of the UNESCO's decision.

Jorn Utzon, the architect of the Opera House gave a statement from his home in Denmark expressing the honour of having one of his buildings listed on the register.

"World Heritage listing gives the building ... a completely new value," Mr Utzon said.

"It is a gift to the city of Sydney."

Mr Utzon said it was the vision of those who worked on the construction of the Opera House for it to be Sydney's greatest landmark.

Gordon Brown

Gordon Brown has become Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Queen Elizabeth II invited him to form a government in a meeting at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday afternoon.

Brown, who has been Chancellor of the Exchequer for the past ten years, succeeds Tony Blair who tendered his resignation to the Queen earlier on Wednesday. In an emotional Prime Minister's Questions, Blair received a standing ovation from MPs and tributes from opposition leaders.

Tony Blair has led the Labour Party since 1994 and became Prime Minister following a landslide victory in the 1997 general election.

Gordon Brown was confirmed as leader of the Labour Party on 24th June after running unopposed in the recent leadership election. He is expected to announce appointments to the Cabinet over the next few days.

Later in the day, Tony Blair resigned his parliamentary seat for the constituency of Sedgefield to become an envoy to the Middle East for the Quartet, the nations and entities involved in seeking a resolution in the Middle East peace process (the United States, United Nations, European Union and Russia).

Outside Agents may be attempting to destabilize Imperium Economy

-- Imperium News Service

Senior Bookkeepers / Accountants at the Ministry Of Financial Affairs
[ M.O.F.A. ] has just informed the Imperial Family that they believe
that someone might have passed a few counterfeit ImperiuMarxs [ Rx ]
"Bonus Bucks" during yesterday's business operations.

The counterfeited "Bonus Bucks" were passed at the Show & $ale Center,
and at the Feed & Seed Center.

Although the "Bonus Bucks" are freely distributed by the Imperial Government
to visitors and tourist [ customers ] at all of the Imperium's commercial facilities,
and not that many have been discovered; this event shows just how vulnerable
the "in-house" printing / publishing process is; as it appears that the "Bonus Bucks"
were scanned and copied with a color computer printer system.

A full investigation has been ordered by the Lord Imperator, who has also
expressed that the counterfeited "Bonus Bucks" are to be framed and mounted
with an Official Statement attached, and located at all checkout stations;
which will hopefully make those who are guilty take notice, thereby hoping
to stop this problem, which could result in the cancellation of a successful
promotional program that has been in operation for many years, and is
appreciated by the Imperium's hard working, loyal, and honest customer base.

Possibly a new "Bonus Buck" will be designed and developed; one which
would most likely be published / printed by an "external" press in the US,
which might have more means of curtailing any future issues.

The use of a better paper has also been proposed; as this could be a more
visible and physical way to detect any possible counterfeit "Bonus Bucks".

The "Bonus Buck" Program has various incentives that are promoted at
various times of the year; of which, some of the incentives include, but
are not limited to the following:

Imperium declares "We will continue to test Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs)!"

-- Imperium News Service

The Ministry Of State Security / M.O.S.S. announced that on the
evening of July 4th, 2007 a Special Skilled Team [ elders ] will
detonate another 100 Mega-Stix Explosive Device at an undisclosed
test site.

M.O.S.S. has detonated numerous such devices over the past several
years; and in all tests, the detonation was supervised by a Special Skilled
Team [ elders ].

A 100 Mega-Stix Explosive Device is designed with 100 standard firework
sparklers, all bound together with one of the following standard tapes:
duct, electricians, or strapping; then a single additional standard firework
sparkler, which is used as the actual detonation device, is elevated just
above the other 100 sparklers.

In times past, an extremely loud explosion results, which shakes the
ground and can be heard from miles away; the explosion also leaves
a crater in the ground, which has been different in depth and breadth,
due to the conditions of the soils in which the device was discharged.

America's Cup: Team New Zealand wins third race

From Wikinews

June 27, 2007

Team New Zealand have won the third yacht race in the bid for America's Cup, beating the defending champion, Swiss syndicate, Alinghi. Sport commentators and yachties are describing the win as one of the greatest races in the history of the Cup.

Team New Zealand finished the race 25 seconds ahead of Alinghi, despite the leader changing three times throughout the race. This new win for Team New Zealand puts the overall score at 2 wins for Team New Zealand and one win for Alinghi. The winner of the America's Cup will be the first to reach five wins.

By the first mark of the race, Team New Zealand had a lead of one minute and 23 seconds. However, at this turn, their spinnaker got caught in the genoa gear and Richard Meacham, mid bowman, almost went over board. Due to this mistake, Alinghi were able to catch up and lead the second mark by 15 seconds. Grant Dalton, head of Team New Zealand, said, "The trouble we had at the leeward mark let [Alinghi] back into the race and [Team New Zealand] paid the price."

But Team New Zealand managed to win, 25 seconds in front. Team New Zealand navigator, Kevin Hall said, "My heart rate would be doing about 180 right now but it's nice to be towing in and looking at them back there instead of in front of us like they were in the second beat."

The head of Alinghi, Ernesto Bertarelli believes that the race committee should not have started the race, which it did so at 4:59 p.m.. The race cannot be announced after 5.00 p.m.. "We waited for two hours..."

Team New Zealand strategist, Ray Davies said, "There was certainly a bit of dice rolling."

President of the Nelson Marlborough Yachting Association, Doug Mckee described the race as the most exciting one since Australia winning the America's Cup when the Australians won the Auld Mug from the New York Yacht Club who had held it for 132 years. "We are definitely good enough to win the cup."

Hall said, "It probably hasn't happened very often that you see three passes in an America's Cup race. It's a testament to the strength of both teams."

The wind speed was around 8-9 knots.

Alinghi beat Team New Zealand in 2003, also winning the America's Cup in Auckland, New Zealand.

Cricket: 2007 Future Cup-1st ODI

From Wikinews
June 26, 2007

In the 2007 Future Cup, South Africa beat India in the first One-Day International (ODI) held at the Civil Service Cricket Club Ground, Belfast, Ireland. After South Africa won the toss and chose to field first, Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly opened India's innings. Ganguly left quickly and Gautam Gambhir left without troubling the scorers. However, Tendulkar found some long term company with Rahul Dravid and pushed the score to 194/2 before Dravid left on 74. It wasn't long before Tendulkar himself found himself runout by Morne van Wyk/Mark Boucher for 99 with the score on 211. A batting collapse ensued and at the end of the innings, India's score was 242/8.
